Spiritual Disciplines

Knowing God's truth is essential, but the real transformation begins when we learn to live it. This series of four lessons will help you develop the spiritual disciplines needed to grow in your relationship with God and become more like Jesus. Through Reading the Word, Prayer, Right Thinking, and the Spirit-Directed Life, you will learn how to receive God's truth, communicate with Him, align your thinking with His Word, and follow the Holy Spirit's leading in your daily life.

The goal is not simply to know more about the Christian life, but to learn how to live it.  As you practice these truths, one step at a time, you can grow in your faith, learn to respond to life's challenges in ways that honor God, and develop a deeper, more consistent experience of His peace, joy, and presence. Take your time with each lesson, putting what you learn into practice before moving on. The journey is about more than gaining knowledge; it is about becoming more like Jesus in the way you think, live, and relate to others.

Reading the Word
Learn how to make God's Word a regular part of your life, allowing His truth to nourish your spirit, strengthen your faith, and guide your walk with Jesus.

Prayer
Develop a more consistent prayer life by learning to communicate with God, bring your concerns to Him, and grow in faith, thanksgiving, and trust.

Right Thinking
Learn to recognize thoughts that pull you away from God's truth and replace them with thinking that strengthens your faith and shapes your attitudes and actions to reflect Jesus.

Spirit-Directed Life
Learn to seek the Holy Spirit's guidance, respond in obedience to what you understand Him to be showing you, and trust God with the outcome as you learn to walk with Him moment by moment.
