Experiencing God series introduction

God desires more than for us to know about Him; He invites us into a personal relationship with Him. In Experiencing God, we explore what it means to know God personally and discover the relationship He desires to have with us. In God's Salvation, we learn how Jesus Christ makes that relationship possible by bringing us forgiveness and reconciliation with God. These lessons lay the foundation for understanding God's desire for us to know Him and the new life He offers through Jesus.

But God does not intend for us to begin a relationship with Him and then try to live the Christian life on our own. In The Holy Spirit, we discover how God's Spirit works within us to guide us, strengthen us, and help us become more like Jesus. In The Church, we explore why God brings believers together to worship, grow in faith, serve one another, and share the good news of Jesus with others. Together, these four lessons help us understand the life God invites us into—a growing relationship with Him, a transformed life through His Spirit, and a place in His family as we follow Jesus.

• John 17:3 — Eternal life is knowing the one true God and Jesus Christ whom He sent.
• John 3:16–17 — God sent His Son so that we might believe in Him and receive eternal life.
• Galatians 5:22–25 — The Holy Spirit produces His fruit in our lives as we walk by the Spirit.
• Matthew 28:19–20 — Jesus calls His disciples to make disciples and teach them to obey His commands.
